OSes: I have spent several years on Wins platform (from 3.11 to XP), and I have to admit it was quite a good ride. However, I did want to try Linux, and picked up Slackware (before that I have tried Mandrake [and Mandriva] and RedHat). It turned out that I like how Slackware operates, and I like what Linux has to offer – so I am solely relying to Linux now.
