When I started using NetBeans I also found the post you mention with the top ten shortcuts for NetBeans. With time I move to Eclipse and here is my list. You can find some helpful shortcuts, like i do in your.

@jadianes
Well, git commit is nice, I just didn't think anyone would want to automate such an essential thing as committing into repo - it is hard to automatically cherry-pick what file deltas to commit and what to ignore, thus potentially leading to files you'd never commit manually being committed.

Anyway, it seems you have a use case for GitCommit task. So, I added it to my todo list, and will look into it.

Hi!

Why is a commit task useless? When working locally, git's commit command is essential. Actually is what makes the version control thing... E. g. After passing tests properly, I would like to commit (and maybe push) and then deploy files in my local apache installation.

Thanks for the tip, worked a treat.

Curiously I have the opposite situation to Kearney - my home ubuntu machine has always had this enabled by default, but my Mac at work did not!

Nice addition. And to expend on point 9, PHP is probably the web language that scales the best, i've dealt (and architectured) sites dealing with millions of unique visitors per day, i've also used .NET and Python in the same context, and PHP has a lot of advantages that makes it a good choice for a high traffic/high load website.

Not quite sure that guy is well-regarded, of if that anti-open source site of his qualifies him for pretentious articles like these. (It's more testament to the simple realization that OOP cramming for the sake of OOPism does not yield quality code.)
